It was forecast for great weather today so I took the day off and went snowshoeing up White River on Mt. Hood. Clear day, almost no wind and warm temperatures – NOAA got it right. This was mostly the standard route up White River to the Overlook. Only difference was going up higher to get a view over to Timberline Lodge. The day started with Cascade concrete and ended with slush. If this weather continues the snow will be gone in no time. On the trail a 9 am and back at my car at 2 pm. A bonus of going on a Monday – no crowds.
