Twin Lake Hike

After moving a couple of cords of firewood on Saturday we got out for an easy hike to Upper Twin Lake in Mt. Hood National Forest. It was cloudier then the forecast had called for but dry. This trail is mostly a walk in the woods with stops at Lower and upper Twin lakes. We had some flowers in bloom but this is mainly a green trail. We normally snowshoe this in winter so it was interesting to see it with out the snow. A lot of down trees and a lot of fire fuel load. We did a loop around upper Twin Lake and then headed for home. It was about 6.5 miles and 900 ft. total elevation gain.
