The day started with a clear sky and warm temperatures. After having a great breakfast at Stepping Stone Cafe we headed to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. I have heard about this event for years but had never been to it or had really had any idea what it was. I was surprise by what I found. So rows and rows of blooming tulips was expected but how this place was set up for handling the crowds of families, tourist and photographers I was not ready for. For a month this place turns into a destination event. It was propped and staged for photographing. Rides and games for the kids. Lots of venders to sell you food and retail items. And you can even buy some tulips too. We stayed longer then planned but had to head out to get our Silver Falls hike.
