A very muddy hike of Tillamook Head Trail and this was in the middle of August with the rest of the state in Drought conditions. The mud slowed us down so much we had to turn around before getting to our destination. We managed lest then a mile and half pace.

The trail start getting slippy and more of a challenge.
The lite rain we started with went to fog.
The trailed level out and the fog go thicker.
The root ball stood about 20 ft. tall

Lori was having trouble with this log crossing so I added some helping material.
This log was so large and slippery it was difficult to cross.
Planks had been put over some bog site but they are rotting out now.

The mud got bad. The planks were buried by the mud.
We ended up with two miles of worst mud I have ever seen on a trail. It slowed us down so much that we had to turn back before our destination.
You don’t get green unless you have a lot of rain even in August.
We went through an area many old growth stumps.
Once a nice set of stairs now almost just a slippery muddy slope.
I have never come back from a hike this muddy before.
Lori won first place for the muddiest.
We pealed off our muddy gear and went for a beer.
First time to Seaside Brewing and we liked the beer and food.
The building had been the jail and they left on cell for the unruly customers.
