I have been wanting to do a section of trail 400 between Tanner Creek and Eagle Creek and Lori has wanted to walk the section of the Historic Columbia River Hwy between those same creeks. So we worked up loop hike going out on Trail 400 and back on the old Hwy. I had hoped to do a section of the old portage road to get to Tooth Rock but it has gotten over grown and I could not find the start of the trail from either side. The day started out in fog and mist but ended sunny and warm. The fire had opened up some views along trail 400. We finished up with beer and food at Thunder Island Brewery.
