I got out for a hike with Siobhan and Lori to a poplar area but one that I had never been to before – Siouxon Creek. This was an exploratory hike so no main goal except to get a feel for the area. This is mainly a walk in the woods by creek which I normally don’t enjoy but Siouxon Creek has enough going on that it kept the hike interesting. We found lots of campsites, saw a number of waterfall, wondered in our usual Mediterranean rain-forest all at a leisurely pace. We had good weather and did about 10 miles and about 1500 total gain.
