We are having a week of clear weather and I want to take advantage of it. I got out today to hike King Mt. In the Tillmook State Forest. This is another catch up hike for, a hike everyone seems to have but me. Weather was clear, cold and with high winds. The hike was pretty straight forward with an easy trail to follow and lot of up. The hike proved to be a leg burner with gaining 2500 ft in a little over two and half miles. Most of the trail is a walk in the woods but on top I ran into an icy trail by a cliff edge. There are clear views of the surround hills and clear cuts from the summit.
