Once a year the Mazamas show their appreciation to the many volunteer hike leaders that make the program work. As a Mazama hike leader I was in attendance at the Mazama Mountaineering Center for the event. We had some social time before our pizza dinner then a welcome by the Trail Trips Committee Chair followed a special presentation on hidden off trail hiking areas on Mt. Adams. The evening finished off with a chance to pick a gift item from the donations made by outdoor equipment businesses in the area and individuals. We had a good attendance this year and everyone seemed to have a good time.
