Snowshoe of Ghost Ridge.
So the plan was to snowshoe the new Mirror Lake Trail. Arriving at the trailhead and finding an army of folks we decide to find something less busy. Looks like you need to get out of Portland before seven to do Mirror Lake.
We decide to do Ghost Ridge instead. It turned out to be a good choice. Not to many folks around and a beautiful day to get a view of Mt. Hood. Snow was crunchy but not yet Cascade Concrete. Trail was well pounded in although not on the best route. But still better then having to break a new on in. This snowshoe is longer and more elevation then we had been doing but we still manage to wrapped it up by about one. This put in a Solera before the ski crowd showed up.
