Lori and I got out for a conditioning hike up to Nesmith Point (9.8 miles and 3800 elevation gain) yesterday. We were on the trail for way to long considering the conditions. I have only a few photos from the start of the hike. Before we got to Corky’s Corner it started to rain and I stashed the camera in my pack. After making the summit the rain to a heavy downpour. The downpour continued that way the rest of the day. Creeks that were dry as we started the day were flowing nicely as we made our way back to the car and in spite of our gear we were soaked to the skin. I am never saying anything disparaging about Lori’s heated car seats again.
