I had intended to do Gnarl Ridge but finding the road close to construction I had to back track and figure something else out. A close by trailhead went up from Mt. Hood Meadows to the Timberline Trail so I went this route. I hiked a crossed Mt. Meadows ski area over to Heather Canyon. I went a little ways up the canyon but there was still snow in it. So called it an early day and headed back.
