With summer conditions coming to an end we head up to Lookout Mt. and its great view of the east side of Mt. Hood before winter set in. It was a short hike of a little over 3 miles and 600 ft gain. We took our time enjoying the great weather, the biodiversity, and the views. We had a good view of Mt. Hood but smoke from forest fires kept us from seeing much else. After the hike we headed to the Best Western in Hood River for food, drinks and a view of the Columbia River.
