Turned out that the dry spot to be was on the Oregon coast so Lori and I head back to Lewis & Clark National Historical Park by Astoria. We set out this time to do a section of the Fort to Sea trail. This was an exploratory hike and we found plenty to explore. Not just finding where a new trail went but lots of mushrooms, slugs, river otters, beaver, rabbit, big stumps, and swamp. We followed the Fort to Sea trail to the old church and made that our turn around. On the way back we did part of the Kwis Kwis Trail. My GPS had us in at 8.5 mile and around 500 ft total gain.
