I wanted do the Loop Trail at Cape Horn on the Columbia River before the rains came. Today was dry, a nice temperature but hazy with smoke from forest fires. So not the great views down the Gorge that this hike can offer. By the number the hike was 7.5 miles, about 1600 ft. elevation gain and I was on trail for around 4 hours. My conditioning is still not back yet so this hike was a good workout. If I were to do this hike again I would do it the reverse order as part of the lower trail is still more of a user trail and better to climb up it then go down it.
