With my knee putting me out of commission for hiking I have started to look for places to go for a bike rides. This ride is West of downtown Vancouver and includes two large parks, Frenchman’s Bar and Vancouver Lake. My GPS had it at about 10 miles. I parked at Blurock Beach (free parking) and first went down to the beach before starting my ride. The water level in the Columbia is still running high but down about three ft. from a few weeks ago. I first rode down to Frenchman’s Bar park and then came back to Blurock Beach before doing an out and back to Vancouver Lake Park. It is a nice ride but I am sure on the weekends when these parks get busy you won’t be able to get through the crowd of people. And Vancouver is like North Portland – no one wares a mask and no one social distances.
