Benson Plateau – Almost

So this was a return to the scene of the crime hike. When I did this hike in 2019 I screwed up my knee and ended up rehabbing for several years to get back to almost normal. This time I used a new way of walking and not pushing as hard to avoid the same mistake even though I did forget my knee brace.

I was beautiful weather and I was on trail at 6:15. This gave some great morning light to enjoy the beauty of this hike. I went from Herman Creek trailhead to connect to the PCT up to 3700 elevation about mile and 300 ft. of the summit but this is where my knees said “that is enough for today old mam”. The hike by the numbers was 12.7 miles and 3853 total elevation gain.
